System Engineer (IT002)

The Rabobank International Indonesia Engineers Team is based in Jakarta, having responsibility for the architecture and engineering of all Rabobank International Indonesia sites. Support is being done by a different department. The Engineers Team is a new team and will exist out of three engineers / architects; one for networks, one for operating systems (Windows & Linux) and one for the applications.

From a technical design and standards viewpoint the RI Indonesia Engineers Team refers to the different global and regional IT teams. In case of the System Engineer he/she refers to the Regional Windows & Linux expert based in Singapore, which in turn is part of the Global IT Infrastructure Architecture Board (ITI) group of Rabobank International (RI). The Global ITI Architecture board sets RI global OS standards. The Global Architecture Board is responsible for providing architectural, engineering and support expertise for the OS used within RI.

Reporting to the RI Indonesia IT manager, the System Engineer will be responsible for:
• Design of generic IT Infrastructure services (e.g. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print services).
• Translation of global RI standards into local specific implementations. Requesting information, guidance or assistance from RI central teams when needed.
• Providing technical solutions for new business requirements while keeping within RI standards and maintain an overall manageable, structured environment. Working together with IT operational teams for the implementation of these new systems and ensure operational handover. Improving current infrastructure where needed.
• Safeguard system performance, analyze trends and highlight anticipated issues to management.
• Handling support escalations from operational teams.
• Ensuring that all local IT infrastructure documentation is accurately maintained.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
o Three years experience in system engineering, focused on design
o Good Experience in MS Windows 2003 server, Active Directory, DNS, NTP, DHCP, File & Print services, Linux OS and Linux-Windows inter-operability (SAMBA, NFS).
o Experience with Linux user/ rights management, CUPS
o Experience with HP server design (server dimensioning, raid configurations)
o Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Desktop
o Familiar basic networking knowledge (routing, firewalls, TCP/IP protocol)
o Good communications and documentation skills (English).
• Computing Skills Required:
o MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Other Requirements:
o Good inter-personal skills
o Good presentation skills
o Works well under pressure
o Able to travel within Indonesia
